In Case You Missed It: “Iraq residents rise up against al-Qaida”

Posted on Thursday 31 May 2007

This is a headline and a story that is worth noting. Some of the anti-Bush and the blame-America-first crowd deny that al-Qaida even exists in Iraq. This article not only confirms the presence of al-Qaida but it also demonstrates how Iraqi citizens are rising up against these barbarians and asking for America’s help in the fight:

“Many Sunni tribes in the province have banded together to fight al-Qaida, claiming the terrorist group is more dangerous than American forces…

“Although al-Qaida is a Sunni organization opposed to the Shiite Muslim-dominated government, its ruthlessness and reliance on foreign fighters have alienated many Sunnis in Iraq.”
