Good News of the Month: From Angelia Jolie – Can you believe it?

Posted on Monday 17 March 2008

Can you believe it?  In December A Line of Sight gave our December Tip-of-the-Hat to Hollywood actress Julia Roberts for getting in the face of some paparazzi at her kids school.  Here we go again.

Angelia Jolie in a guest editorial for the Washington Post offers her impressions after a recent trip to Iraq:

“My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis.”

Is it possible that when someone – even a Hollywood starlet – witnessed firsthand the reality of the situation; the enemy we face and the need to help the freedom starved Iraqi people, that they understand failure is not an option?

The Good News just keeps coming.  The real credit goes to our troops and the brave Iraqi people.  Hopefully, Ms. Jolie sent a copy of her editorial to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
