A Legacy of Change

In the coming weeks we will be hearing a lot from the left side of the aisle about “Change.” It has been the dominant theme of not only the Obama campaign, but also of the Democrat party as a whole.

Back during the 2006 election cycle, when the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress, they also ran on a platform of “Change,” which included a sweeping “Change” in U.S. energy policy, which was focused primarily on global warming.

The graph above illustrates the effect that this stellar Democrat leadership of Congress has had on the cost of gasoline at the pump. [Editor's note: the memo to Al Gore mentioned in the chart can be found here.]

When Americans go to the polls this November they must ask themselves:

  • How much more Democrat “Change” can our country stand?
  • Can America really afford to give the Democrat party even more power?
  • How much more damage will they cause to our way of life?
  • Dare we risk giving them a rubber stamp in the White House?
