The Democrat controlled Congress has established a new record low job approval rating. Only 14% of the public has a favorable opinion of the Harry Reid-Nancy Pelosi led agenda on Capitol Hill. Never before in the 34 year history of the Gallup Organization has Congress been held in such low esteem by voters.
Public opinion of Congress has dipped below 20% just six times since Gallup began measuring it 34 years ago. Reid and Pelosi own four of those dubious distinctions, including the latest all-time record low from the June, 2008 poll. The other two were in 1979 and 1992.
